Maybe it was all for this

"I don’t know where I’ll go but I’m going."

It's New Music Friday, which comes around every week, but today feels a little more special. Today marks the release of Pa Sheehy's new album, Maybe it was all for this. I've been a fan of Pa since his days in Walking on Cars, and I'm still intrigued by his solo journey — a journey down a path that feels as uncertain as it is exciting, a pathless path, if you will.

The first track of his new album, Towards The Water, opens with a line that instantly feels iconic: "I don’t know where I’ll go but I’m going." It struck a chord with me, especially since I just wrote about the pathless path yesterday. The concept of the pathless path is all about the unknown, walking where no road exists, and letting curiosity guide you. It’s about uncertainty, about going without needing to know the final destination — about just trusting the process.

After all, we’re here by chance, and if there’s one thing we do know, it’s to keep moving. To keep going. Because that’s all we can do.
