Yordi - A Lifelong Journey of Growth

One Note at a Time

Starting a new song on guitar is always a challenge, especially when it’s something complex like Hysteria by Muse. Right now, I’m battling the intro. It’s technically a bass riff, but it works well on guitar too.

The process of learning a new song generally follows a familiar path. You begin with small sections and focus on getting each one right, playing slowly at first. Then, as you improve, you gradually increase the speed until you’re up to the song’s original tempo.

At the slower speeds, the riffs often sound nothing like the original. This can be frustrating, as it might feel like you’re not playing the song at all. But you have to believe in the process. With patience and practice, things will start to sound the way they’re meant to as you pick up the pace.

Learning anything new is a lot like this. You start with small, incremental steps, often without seeing immediate results. But with time, things start to come together. And eventually, after putting in the hours, you reach full mastery.

Trust the process, and good things will happen.
