The Home I Found
I’m a software developer. Sometimes, I feel the urge to go all out, creating an awesome software solution using the latest shiny programming language and the most exciting framework I can think of.
Sometimes, I want to build features that have never been made before.
Sometimes, I focus on squeezing out every millisecond of performance, optimizing the hell out of a legacy codebase.
And sometimes, a project is so challenging that I spend days and nights working on a solution.
But other times, I just want to rely on software built by others. Software I don’t have to maintain myself. Software I trust because I know it was created by a great team - or even a dedicated individual who poured all of their love into it. Like a blogging platform that offers a no-nonsense, everlasting space where I can share my thoughts, learning, and struggles with the world.
For me, that platform is Bear, the platform you’re reading this post on. The platform I like to call my home, now and for the rest of my life.
Amen (and thank you, Herman).
