The Tiny Web Trap
There are many days when I find myself strolling through the small and tiny web, searching for hidden gems and inspiration in long-forgotten blog posts. It feels a bit like walking into a record store, flipping through boxes of old vinyl, hoping to find that one diamond I didn’t even know I was looking for. It’s like continuously pulling the lever on a slot machine until you finally hit the three golden apples.
Yes, I’d rather have this tiny web addiction than spend my days in a casino, but still… I can’t ignore the feeling that—instead of consuming—I should be creating. You wouldn’t want to read one self-help book after another without applying its concepts, right?
Right. I know the answer already. I can hear it from you, the reader, screaming at your screen from the other side of the digital line: "If you've got an idea, even the slightest hunch, just freaking try it out and start!" I guess you're right. I just should. Follow my heart, my gut—whatever body part is supposedly connected to my feelings.
But it’s hard.
